Now that we have entered 2014, that means one thing to some 400 odd of us bloggers, the #2014BloggerChallenge has begun! This challenge was created by Gaby who blogs over at anothergirlyblg. I can't actually remember how I found out about the tag, it was no doubt through reading someone's blog post about it! These posts will only happen twice a month so if you're not a fan, they won't clog up your feed. I'm hoping you like them though!
As you can see from the title of this post, this first #2014BloggerChallenge post is about New Year inspiration. I'm only going to touch on two (technically three I suppose) things in this post otherwise I could be here all bloody day typing!
My first inspiration this year; my best friends. Mary-Jane and Michaela.
Me, Mary-Jane and Michaela at Race For Life 2013 |
I've known Muj for 3 or 4 years and it was a bit of a slow friendship to start with but over the past year we've grown closer and closer and of course we now live together!
Michaela has been a constant positive force in my life and I know I can always go to her if I have a problem. She's very level headed and can deal with me freaking out. During the summer I hated (but secretly loved) working out with her. She is a lot smaller and fitter than me so it was fucking difficult. I enjoyed pushing myself though. Hopefully we can do it again (although maybe not this summer ae Michaela?). Her dedication inspires me to be more dedicated in my life.
When I first decided to start losing weight and become a healthier person, Muj was right by my side doing it with me. We both lived in separate homes at that time and met up on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays to read out fitness book, do C25K and do our food shops. There was a lot of Just Dance as well. A lot. Man I miss Just Dance! Muj has since lost 2 and a half stone and looks fabby! She didn't fall off the wagon as much as me and didn't have as much weight to lose as me. Now that we are living together, I'm hoping it will be quite easy to get into routines with C25K (we are starting it again on Tuesday) and preparing healthy meals. I'll be making more of an effort to go through and see Michaela as well as she was always the one who came through to me.
To sum up, both these women worked bloody hard on their bodies. One maintained and toned, the other lost and kept it off! What is more inspiring than being surrounded by your favourite people feeling good about themselves?!
To finish off this inspiration post, I'll leave you with a picture that I saw and fell in love with. It's definitely something I'll be working on this year!
agreed on the quote!! plus healthy food is pretty darn good ;)

ReplyDeleteDidn't you used to have another blog?
Lilla x Lilla Loves
I felt like that even after this first day today! Really annoyed that I stopped though, all those days of feeling great totally wasted! I'll be seeing it through to the end this time for sure!
DeleteGreat, I look forward to reading any posts you might make on health! :)
